Work Description: The strategic study for the Armenian Road Networks will define an updated Lifeline Road Network (LRN) – with the aim of the government officially defining the network through a decree or regulation – and develop an action plan and a financing plan to rehabilitate and maintain lifeline roads, and define data required for input into Roads Management System. The study will prepare a strategic development plan for the Republic of Armenia’s LRN aiming to achieve better access to economic and social and health infrastructure and services, reduced transport costs, contribution to poverty reduction, and sustained maintenance of the LRN.

Work Description: Feasibility, including a technical study, a socio-economic and an environmental study of Edea-Kribi (Lot 1), Douala-Limbe (Lot 2) railway lines: The technical study is to analyse several development variants of the railway lines, and propose to stakeholders a solution on the basis of a multi-criteria analysis, that will then be subject to validation by the Railway Commission Cameroon – Chad.
The project includes all research on and collection of necessary data, in order to achieve technical, economic, financial, environmental and social studies, including gender and poverty reduction issues.
The study examines the technical, economic, financial and institutional aspects of rail transport and its future developments.
